The Sub Regional Office (SRO) in Gulbarga plays a significant role in providing medical benefits to a large number of beneficiaries across multiple districts in the Kalyana Karnataka region. This office manages a vast area of about 28% of Karnataka’s geographical area, which serves approximately 3 lakh beneficiaries.

The network of 9 branch offices and 16 ESI dispensaries clearly provides a wide-reaching service to ensure that the medical needs of the population are met. The presence of the ESIC Allied Health Sciences Complex, with its medical, dental, and nursing colleges, as well as a 500-beded hospital, also indicates a strong focus on both healthcare and education in the region, benefiting not just local residents but people from neighboring states as well.

There are 9 branch offices working under the control of SRO-Gulbarga, viz Gulbarga, Bellary, Bijapur, Toranagallu, Bagalkote, Raichur, Bidar, Vijaynagara (Hospete) & Yadgir. The Medical benefits are also provided through a network of State Government controlled 16 ESI Dispensaries there are  Sandur, Yadgir, Wadi, Banhatti, Sedam, Shahabad, Raichur, Gulbarga, Malkhed, TB Dam(Hospete) , Bijapur, Bagalkote, Bellary, Mudhol, Naubad ( Bidar) & Chincholi.
